On the Rebound...
Never before have I been tempted to spend an entire paycheck on handbags. These are made out of recycled books and even though I prefer my bags to be the over-the-shoulder style I want these. All of them.
Sexual Behavior in the Human Male
New Jerusalem Bible
Plus, I actually had this series of books as a kid, so it's a sentimental favorite...
It appears that Rebound Designs is willing to take special orders, so perhaps you too could get a sentimental favorite made into a purse. Fortunately, you don't have to request Jenna Jameson's book. It's already in stock. Yay!

She Enchants Us All
Sonia Romero makes wonderful woodcuts and other art. She Stirs The Rabbit Some More hangs on my sister's wall. I wish its predecessor hung on mine.

Origami kitchen
Our friend Meg writes: "A friend of mine made this kitchen for me. I think you'll appreciate its obsessive detail." We do, and we envy its shiny set of copper cookware.

A friend for your chopsticks
Papercrane.org: Chopstick wrappers aren't square, but they can make for some useful origami. "So next time you order sushi, be sure to fold it into this duck."

Super MIT Bros.
Via Digg: MIT's had some interesting "hacks" before. But did they include Mario? Not nearly enough. Thankfully, this has been resolved.
"Unfortunately, one of the coolest parts of the hack was impossible to capture with a photograph. As I walked into Lobby 7, camera in hand, ready to document the hell out of MITMarioWorld, I was met with...music. The Mario theme was resonating throughout Lobby 7. It was. so cool."
OMG VINE TO SECRET LEVEL! JUMP JUMP JUMP
Mario-related public art chaos has been mentioned before on Adorablog.

Happy beats scary: a report from the Bazaar Bizarre
Art School Dropout had attractive necklaces and darling brooches like the one with the blue owl pictured above.
Heidi Kenney / MyPaperCrane had a bakery's worth of plush toast, doughnuts, moldy bread, milk cartons, and tampons.
Chad Walker / Devoted Bee had prints, books, pins, greeting cards (I think I like the "Dream Scores" card best: "since we met happy beats scary"), and awesomeness.
Alison Cole / Comics of Love had these nifty three-pocket wallets and this tote bag with the sweetest little ghosts on it.
Jonnie Spaceman played "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and other traditional songs on the theremin.
Other Bazaar Bizarre vendors we definitely approved of: Bright Lights Little City, Magpie, and Vonica.
