Felt Gnomes Will Make You Happy

I am in love with the online store Dream a Little, containing handmade toys by the artist Dana B. Dunn. Particularly, I am enamoured with the Gnome Home (shown above), and its many exciting details, including:
A gnome family, with lounge chairs.
A garden with removable veggies.
A pet aphid.

On the Rebound...
Never before have I been tempted to spend an entire paycheck on handbags. These are made out of recycled books and even though I prefer my bags to be the over-the-shoulder style I want these. All of them.
Sexual Behavior in the Human Male
New Jerusalem Bible
Plus, I actually had this series of books as a kid, so it's a sentimental favorite...
It appears that Rebound Designs is willing to take special orders, so perhaps you too could get a sentimental favorite made into a purse. Fortunately, you don't have to request Jenna Jameson's book. It's already in stock. Yay!

ACORN: rodent photographers

Take a look at this fantastic flickr set of squirrels at work on their various photography projects. I'd like to see what shots they're lining up, but A.C.O.R.N (the American Camera Organised Rodent Network) are more concerned with capturing the mystical techniques of these particular furry artists. Good on them for showing us what goes on around the other side of the lens!

She Enchants Us All
Sonia Romero makes wonderful woodcuts and other art. She Stirs The Rabbit Some More hangs on my sister's wall. I wish its predecessor hung on mine.

Fun with Squids
Squids are not inherently adorable; however, this site gets a lot of milage out of them:

The world's cutest conservatives
The verdict is in. In no country in the world is the political right wing as adorable as in Canada. First, Laureen Harper, wife of the newly elected Conservative Prime Minister, announced that the prime minister's residence would now have space to house homeless kittens. Now, the National Post - the country's leading right-wing newspaper - has announced a national registry for mittens. Wide-eyed helpless mewing fuzzy baby animals and little warm furry things to keep you cozy - and they rhyme with each other.
While we at the Adorablog generally eschew weighty political issues, we can't help but muse what an improvement it would be if conservatives elsewhere decided to adopt similar levels of cuteness. Imagine Vicente Fox playing with tea cozies, or Silvio Berlusconi adopting a baby panda. The world might not be a more peaceful place, but it would at least be more huggable.

Egg apparel
Eggs In Hats: Melissa Kaplan knits little hats and sweaters for her two tortoise eggs, Sist and Uova.
Eggs In Pants: Chad Walker draws comics starring an egg who owns a pair of tapered red pants. (We do not know if it is a tortoise egg or a plain chicken egg or what. But it has these pants.)

Penguin sweater update!
Since we first covered the Penguin Jumpers Project in November, we've come across a few more pictures of Australia's fairy penguins in their cozy new sweaters at Buffoonery.org and Factmonster.com. We won't be sated until we can hug them ourselves.
