Abandoned chemical weapons plant is overrun with fluffy bunnies

by a-dog, concerning the matter of Bunnies, Current Affairs

Never mind swords into ploughshares. Turn swords into bunny food.

In Japan, of course.

Twink's toy pianos, bunnies and ice cream

by oboreruhito, concerning the matter of Bunnies, Tasty Things, Technological Advances

Boston musician Mike Langlie, aka Twink, has been collecting toy pianos — and performing with them — for years.

NPR featured one of his songs, the See-'n'-Say-sampling "Do You Hear the Frog?", from his self-titled 2003 album (and 32-page picture book!).

Sonia Romero makes wonderful woodcuts and other art. She Stirs The Rabbit Some More hangs on my sister's wall. I wish its predecessor hung on mine.

Dear TypePad:

Please implement this new spam-defeating technology as soon as possible. (Via digg, which for once can't complain about a post filled with kitten pictures.) You can test it out if you'd like.

PS: I will always submit to three kittens! Always always!!! <3 <3 XOXO

Guinea pig costumes

by gus andrews, concerning the matter of Bunnies

Ebayelfcostume
Thank heavens -- finally the Americans are catching up to the Japanese in the Dress-Your-Pet Cuteness War, with one company providing costumes for your guinea pig. As if guinea pigs weren't cute enough on their own.

CUTENESS BONUS TIP: Since baby guinea pigs are born mobile, with their eyes open and all their hair (except, of course, for skinny pigs), they make excellent candidates for a destructive romp through one's dollhouse. Just be sure they don't eat anything they shouldn't.

"Bucky Boy is an adorable little Fuzzy Lop bunny!" Yes, he certainly is. (Via MetaFilter, curiously lacking in snark today.)

Deep in the italian mountains, someone large appears to have mislaid their cuddly bunny.

[Artist statement] -
"The things one finds wandering in a landscape: familiar things and utterly unknown, like a flower one has never seen before, or, as Columbus discovered, an inexplicable continent;
and then, behind a hill, as if knitted by giant grandmothers, lies this vast rabbit, to make you feel as small as a daisy... Happy you feel as you climb up along its ears... Such is the happiness which made this rabbit. i love the rabbit the rabbit loves me."

Bunny head-balancing PCMCIA card

by oboreruhito, concerning the matter of Bunnies, Technological Advances

Obviously inspired by Yuebing and Oolong, the world-famous balancing bunnies: I have seen this on Jeph's LiveJournal. It is uncredited. The authenticity of this image cannot be confirmed, but the adorability certainly can.
