Family of penguins in lederhosen originally found, inexplicably, here. Perhaps the German children's classic Gregor oder Wohin die Träume tragen (Gebundene Ausgabe) [plot synopsis in English] will illuminate the situation.

Interesting, but far from being a german children's classic.
Gosh, I wish people wouldn't think of Germans in Lederhosen and Dirndl all the time. Only Bavarians do that.
But then again, it's better than that other thing.
